Our Young Achievers Take the Stage and Shine Bright

Just over a week ago, our Young Achievers returned from an unforgettable experience at #BigIdeas2025, a powerful youth-led event hosted by Youth Scotland that brought nearly 400 young people together from across the country.

But while the event may be over, the energy is still very much alive.

In our weekly sessions, you’ll still hear it - stories, memories, and laughter spilling out as they reflect on their time at the gathering. Apart from being a weekend away, it was also a moment of discovery, courage, and connection.

A Stage to Be Seen
One of the biggest highlights? Big Ideas Got Talent - a vibrant showcase where young people stepped up and shared their gifts in front of a live audience.

For one of our Young Achievers, getting on that stage was something bigger - standing shoulder to shoulder with other young people, each bringing something uniquely theirs. A poem. A voice. A dance. A beat. A spark.

They shared afterwards how uplifting it was to feel the cheers echo back from the crowd. To know they were seen. And to walk away knowing they had done something bold - something they once weren’t sure they could do.

Voices That Deserve to Be Heard
At Touch of Love, we’re proud to say three of our young people performed on that stage.

Each one brought a different style, a different voice, and a different story. But what they had in common was the courage to share. Whether it was through song, spoken word, or movement, they reminded us that youth talent is not in short supply - it just needs space to breathe.

The pride they felt and the pride we felt watching them is hard to put into words. It was more than applause. It was affirmation.

More Than an Event: A Moment of Growth
What Big Ideas 2025 offered was far beyond talent showcases and workshops. It gave young people the chance to see themselves in others to find community, inspiration, and possibility.

Being around nearly 400 other young people who were leading, sharing, and expressing themselves was a boost of confidence that many will carry into other parts of their lives.

For many, it was the first time they had been in such a space - and they left feeling changed by it.

A Shout-Out to the Team Behind It All
We want to say a huge thank you to Youth Scotland, not only for organising such a successful and thoughtful event, but for doing so in a way that placed young people front and centre.

From planning to execution, Big Ideas 2025 was driven by youth voices and youth energy. That leadership showed. And the result was an event that didn’t just talk about young potential - it celebrated it out loud.
